Pre-scale Programme
Our Pre-Scaler programme supports potential high growth businesses headquartered in Scotland to scale.
The Pre-Scaler programme will see entrepreneurs go through a series of in-person development events aimed at accelerating their growth and ability to then move to scale. This complements our Scale up Scotland core and 2.0 programmes and aims to provide a pipeline of scaling businesses.
The programme is comprised of development events over a 7 month period, focusing on fundraising, people planning, leadership, sales and marketing and effective communication all delivered by our established Scale up programme partners.
Pre-Scaler is open to any entrepreneur running a business that has real ambition and drive to go to scale. The programme would normally be hosted at The Hunter Foundation’s Ayrshire headquarters at Blair Estate. Applicants should have achieved £100k + in annual revenues.
The programme is fully underwritten by The Hunter Foundation and there is no charge to participating companies.

Entry criteria
- A limited company headquartered in Scotland
- Proven product / market fit
- Current revenues of £100k or more
- Potential and matching ambition to reach £1m + revenues in the next 3 years
- Growth mindset
